Speakers

Dr. Bruce Bradley (Colorado): Archaeological naming conventions and their application to the PaleoIndian point assemblage at Powars II in Sunrise, Wyoming. Emeritus Professor at the University of Exeter, Research Associate at the Smithsonian, the Indian Institute of Advanced Studies (Bengaluru), and certified to teach at several South American universities

Bruce actively brings his archaeological interests to the public through presentations, teaching, international workshops, interaction with Native American communities, and participation in documentaries.


George Zeimans (Wyoming): PaleoIndian sites in the Hartville Uplift and surroundings in Wyoming. Director oft the Sunrise Historic and Prehistoric Preservation Society

George Zeimens is an archaeologist known for his work in Wyoming. He has made significant contributions to the field, particularly related to Paleoindian sites.


Dr. Rafael Suarez Sainz (Uruguay): The PaleoIndian period in Uruguay. Archaeologist

Dr. Rafael Suárez Sainz is an archaeologist affiliated with the Universidad de la República in Uruguay. He holds a Ph.D. in Natural Sciences from the University of La Plata in Buenos Aires, Argentina. His research interests span various aspects of archaeology, including lithic technology, the peopling of the Americas, hunter-gatherer lifeways, geoarchaeology, and more.


Dr. Astolofo Gomez de Mello Araujo (Brazil): New PaleoIndian research along the Tietê River in São Paulo State, SE Brazil. Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology, University of São Paulo, Brazil (MAE/USP).

Astolfo Araujo was originally trained in Geology, he got his MA and PhD in Archaeology, and presently his main interests are linked to tropical geoarchaeology on the one hand, and the application of evolutionary epistemology to archaeological problems on the other. He is head of the Laboratory for Interdisciplinary Studies on Evolution, Culture, and Environment (LEVOC) at the MAE/USP"


Dr. Leticia Cristina Correa (Brazil): Cultural diversity among the PaleoIndian peoples of São Paulo State, SE Brazil.

Letícia Cristina Correa holds a Ph.D. from the Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology at the University of São Paulo. She also completed her master’s degree at the same institution and obtained her undergraduate degree from the Methodist University of Piracicaba. Her research interests include Paleoindian archaeology and lithic industries.


Dr. D. Clark Werneke (Texas): The Gault Site, a PaleoIndian site in central Texas. Archaeologist

Dr. D. Clark Wernecke is an archaeologist affiliated with the University of Texas at Austin. He is a member of the Texas Archeological Research Laboratory and has contributed significantly to the field of archaeology.
